How nearby gift-card reminders work

When you add a card and its related merchant location, Card Cubbie can use your location only if you choose to allow it. If you are near that store and have a remaining balance you have tracked, the app can send a reminder that the card is available to use.

Nearby reminders are optional. You can turn them on or off in the app, and they are designed to help you remember a card rather than interrupt you constantly.

Keep expiration dates and balances useful

Gift card information is most helpful when it stays current. Record the date a card expires when you know it, update your balance after using a card, and let Card Cubbie surface the cards that are worth remembering before a deadline or shopping trip.

Balances are user-maintained estimates unless a merchant integration is available. Card Cubbie does not guarantee a merchant balance or redemption outcome.
